Abbeyfield Park Multicultural Festival held in the Burngreave area of Sheffield was a resounding
success, event better than last year with more people and more stalls. An estimated 5,000 people attended the cultural event organised by Green City Action.
SPAT-C made their presence felt with their own stall displaying some of the newer activities including publicising its European Union Refugee programme and SEED Funded SHEBEEN
SPAT-C's environment project SHEBEEN. Which included displays on activities as well as face painting for the youngsters.
SPAT-C resident Artist, Vahid - With a display of his art work as well as open air workshop.
Key SPAT-C Staff were out and about publicising the agency activities, as well as enjoying the festival..
The Chief Executive (Satish Sachdeva) - Out in force and unstoppable as he goes from person to person
Nadeem Walayat - ICT Manager- Takes a break, between discussing SPAT-C's intensive programme with members of the public.
The only negative was the fact that the festival had been postponed from an earlier date due to inefficiencies with Burngreave New Deal in actual disbursement of funds on time to even one of the most organised and established agencies in the area, let alone many of the smaller less experienced agencies - More on this topic on another day, after all today was Burngreave's day !.
