Environmental Project Manager
Hours: 37.5
Annual Salary £17-22k (subject to experience)
Under the direction of the Chief Executive,
the post holder will be responsible for developing
an exciting a new environment agency programme called
Sheffield Black and Ethnic minority Environmental
Network (SHEBEEN) - This is a project implemented
in collaboration with the Heeley City Farm.
SHEBEEN will offer high quality fully
accredited training provision, particularly to refugees
& asylum seekers in environmental stewardship
and related fields. and encourage the participation
of the Sheffield & district black and ethnic minority
communities in environmental development work.
The project will offer support to
those who wish to further develop their skills in
areas such as waste minimisation, composting, energy
conservation, recycling, food production, and other
development issues. The Project Manager will also
provide support to individuals or organisations who
wish to create environmental action groups encouraging
a healthier community for us all. SHEBEEN will seek
to combine these with more formal courses such as
English as a second language and IT training.
Candidates will have previous voluntary
or paid experience in; or be able to demonstrate a
working knowledge of Black and ethnic minority community
development work and/ or Environmental work. Promotion
of Development Education is an important component
of SHEBEEN's work. Therefore we are looking for someone
who has an awareness of environmental developmental
issues.
Part of the work for the post will
be at the Heeley City Farm and the rest at the SHEBEEN
office.

ICT Project Manager - Black Life Long Learning Project
Hours: 37.5
Annual Salary £18 - £22k, depending on
experience.
This exciting post is for someone
who has the ability and experience in managing multi-agency
ICT networks, with the ability to co-ordinate and
monitor performance, create and maintain the project
link. The candidate should also offer excellent technical
know-how relating to the field of ICT project management,
and Inter-networking development.
In addition we are looking for a range
of skills such as :
- Experience or interest in working
with black and ethnic minority community groups.
- In-depth personal knowledge of
key Microsoft products & strategies, along with
several years experience as a Systems Engineer or
Technology Specialist / MCSE or similar qualification
and have the experience of managing and developing
multi-site inter-networking infra-structures. Project
financial budgetary control procedures.
- Have relevant management qualifications
& experience,
- Demonstratable experience in working
in a team and ability to meet tight deadlines for
project and monitoring information.
- Some experience of delivery of
IT training.
Ability to understand and construct
budgets, and deal with financial management aspects
of ICT networking will be treated as a highly desirable
attribute, earning prospects for good career progression.
We are looking for a applicant who
enjoys working with communities and help transfer
skills to such groups. Good team work skills and ability
to work in a busy environment would be highly desirable.

Finance Clerk
Hours: 37.5
Annual Salary £11-12k - According to experience
We are looking for an enthusiastic
and experienced finance clerk to join the SPAT-C team.
The applicant should have the following key skills
and experience.
- Payroll Systems -including all
aspects of calculating, and reporting information
and communications with the Inland Revenue and end
of year returns.
- Booking keeping and record collation
/ filing experience.
- Preparing invoices and documents
ready for internal auditing and budgeting purposes.
- Managing petty cash
- Routine financial analysis as instructed
by senior staff
- Relevant accounting / book-keeping
qualifications would be highly desirable.
We are looking for an applicant who
enjoys working with communities, and has good team
work skills and ability to work in a busy environment.

General Administrative Officer
Hours: 37.5
Annual Salary: £11k
The candidate should have relevant
clerical and administration experience in undertaking
photocopying, filing, typing and scanning of documents.
Also the candidate will be required to manage the
mailing system, dealing with trainee enquiries and
maintaining of trainee registration and record systems.
Good reception and communication skills are important
as the post requires communication with members of
the public and prospective trainees from diverse language
& cultural backgrounds.
Experience in Microsoft Office application
is required, and prior work experience and relevant
qualifications will be an asset. A team work approach,
pleasant manner and ability to meet deadlines for
set tasks are important requirements.
